Mobility Atlanta was created to promote and champion a vision for regional transit in the five core county Metro Atlanta region. We are a convener for civic leaders and will work to build consensus around this regional transit vision among public and private stakeholders. Ultimately Mobility Atlanta will advance transit projects by expanding opportunities for local, state and federal funding.

Metro Atlanta has an abundance of private and public organizations whose portfolio includes a focus on transit. These include CID’s, Chambers of Commerce, County and City governments, transportation agencies and transit operators. While the ATL is tasked with regional transit planning, no entity exists to promote and champion a ‘vision’ for regional transit across Metro Atlanta. This lack of a regional champion limits the ability of Metro Atlanta’s counties and transit operators to generate the support and funding necessary for a world class regional transit system.
